Comprehensive sexuality education, known as “sex ed,” equips children and young people with the knowledge, skills, attitudes and values that help them to protect their physical and mental health, develop pleasurable and respectful social and sexual relationships, and understand and protect the rights of others. Unfortunately, religious and political entities often deny young people the sex education they need.
