Queer/LGBTQIA+ Menopause
London-based therapist Tania Glyde and the Queer Menopause Collective strive to raise awareness of LGBTQIA+ experiences of menopause, promote inclusive resources on menopause, and push for better education for therapists and healthcare practitioners about the needs of LGBTQIA+ people in menopause.
Much current mainstream menopause information is very gender binaried and focused on cisgender heterosexual women. This does not make it bad or not worth checking out, but some of the content may not be relevant (or actively alienating) to someone who is queer, non-binary or trans.
