gender expression

Gender expression includes the outward (physical) manifestation of a person’s gender identity, usually expressed through clothing, body language, and chosen names. It’s the way we externally communicate gender identity to others through behavior and our outward, chosen appearance. A person’s gender expression may or may not conform to masculine or feminine socially defined behaviors and characteristics.
