How a Healthy Diet Can Impact Heart Health

A healthy diet can lower several “silent” risk factors for heart disease, and the DASH (Dietary Approach to Stop Hypertension) diet has been shown to lower blood pressure more effectively than many medications.

The benefits of eating even slightly more fruits and vegetables can be seen in as little as two to eight weeks: significantly lower blood pressure, a measurably lower strain on the heart, and decreased heart muscle damage.
