Women who have had a cesarean delivery can often safely deliver vaginally in later births. There are risks to attempting a VBAC, but there are also risks to having multiple c-sections. It’s important for expectant parents to have all the necessary information about such risks, and for their wishes to be respected by the health care team and the hospital.
