Pornography (porn) and erotica are both subject material that is intended to cause sexual arousal. They are often thought of as opposites. At the same time, the boundary between them can be a matter of opinion. This line can be drawn based on a number of factors, including how commercial versus artistic, patriarchal versus feminist, formulaic versus artistic, exploitive versus egalitarian, crude/obscene versus in good taste, streaming versus hardcover.
