United Nations Resources on Digital Violence
This interactive resource highlights several UNFPA (United Nations Population Fund) initiatives that address digital violence in different countries.
By scrolling down to the very bottom of the page, you'll find a glossary of key concepts related to digital violence. The glossary includes terms such as doxxing, cyberstalking, sextortion, and shallowfake.
The resource also features information about UNFPA’s work around the world and its calls to action. Since 1969, UNFPA has worked for sexual and reproductive health and rights. As part of this work, they lead programs to address gender-based violence. They provide hotlines and other psychological, legal, and vocational resources for those experiencing gender-based violence. Digital violence awareness is part of its comprehensive sexuality education programs. UNFPA also conducts research and develops informational resources such as reports and videos.
This resource is available in English, Spanish, French, and Arabic.
A virtual world free of violence is possible. UNFPA, the United Nations reproductive and sexual health agency, supports the right of all women and girls to live without fear of gender-based violence or abuse in all space, including online. Everyone plays a role in making this more than a hope, but a reality.
