Stop Non-Consensual Intimate Image Abuse

StopNCII.org is a free tool that is run by the Revenge Porn Hotline, part of an organization that empowers people to use technology in a safe and secure way. The resource allows adults ages 18 and up anywhere in the world to control online sharing of nude, semi-nude, and sexual content taken of them after they turned age 18. This is especially helpful for those of us who may be concerned about revenge porn (when a partner uploads a shared picture or video to a porn website or to social media).

The tool works with Facebook, TikTok, reddit, Instagram, Bumble, OnlyFans, Threads, Pornhub, and SnapInc to remove reported content from those platforms. First, the user selects the content that they are concerned may be shared. This content is not uploaded to the site directly; the content does not get re-shared in the reporting process. The content is assigned a "hash," which is a code or digital footprint. This hash gets sent to StopNCII.org. Stop NCII forwards the hash to the participating companies so that they identify and remove the content.

With an over 90% removal rate, RPH has successfully removed over 200,000 individual non-consensual intimate images from the internet.
