Heart Palpitations and Menopause
This video discusses the symptoms of heart palpitations, or irregular heartbeats, that may occur around menopause. It features content expert Dr. Dara Lee Lewis in conversation with Dr. Heather Hirsch of the Lown Medican Group.
"The word palpitation can mean so many things to so many different people... Around changes in hormone levels, palpitations might 'act up.' So for example when women are pregnant and when women go through menopause or perimenopause. Those are probably the two most common times when people come to me, as a cardiologist, with a complaint of palpitations. And the first thing to know is what else is going on in your life right now."
