Barbara A. Beltrand

Accountant

Barbara A. Beltrand, MBA, CPA, has worked in the audit and accounting (A&A) services since 1997. In that capacity she has performed quality reviews of financial reporting engagements including audit, review, compilation, and other attest and non-attest engagements. Research in support of engagement teams and teaching new and emerging standards has been integral to her professional life.

Ms. Beltrand has overseen continuing professional education programs and taught at local universities and colleges with an emphasis on intermediate and advanced accounting and auditing. She is currently a tenure track faculty member at Metropolitan State University in Saint Paul, Minnesota. She is also a frequent presenter at seminars and conferences. Ms. Beltrand received the 2010 Instructor Recognition Award from the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants. The award acknowledges her service in teaching continuing education.

Barbara earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) cum laude from Macalester College in Saint Paul, Minnesota, a Masters of Library Science (MLS) from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts, and a Master of Science in Accounting/Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Northeastern University, also in Boston.

Ms. Beltrand is licensed in Massachusetts and Minnesota as a Certified Public Accountant.
