Zareen Farukhi
Dr. Zareen Farukhi is a cardiologist with a clinical and research focus on prevention of cardiovascular disease, with special interest in lipids and women's cardiovascular health. She is particularly interested in HDL cholesterol and Lipoprotein (a).
She is recently the recipient of the Massachusetts Life Sciences First Look Award, funding her research in HDL structure and function associations with cardiovascular risk and the relationship to menopause.
Training: Johns Hopkins Medical School, Duke University Internal Medicine residency, Boston University Medical Center Cardiology fellowship, Brigham and Women's Hospital Cardiovascular Epidemiology post doctoral research fellowship.
Education is a key part of cardiovascular prevention and directly in-line with my own goals and those of OBOS Today! I am excited to be part of the cardiovascular health division of OBOS Today.
