Valeria Serrano (she/her/ella) is a doctoral student in clinical psychology at William James College, with an undergraduate major in neuroscience from Temple University. She is passionate about understanding the biological, psychological, and social factors that impact women’s health and mental well-being. She is committed to reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and promoting greater access to culturally responsive care.

Valeria a first-generation Colombian-American originally from New Jersey. Through her clinical training, she has gained experience working with a range of populations, including neurodiverse individuals, military veterans, and Latinx communities.

She hopes to continue advocating for equitable and accessible mental health care and supporting diverse communities through clinical practice, research, and public engagement.

As a future clinical psychologist, I am passionate about making mental health information more accessible, culturally responsive, and empowering. Through my work with OBOS, I hope to help destigmatize conversations around mental and physical health while creating educational resources that enable women to make informed decisions about their well-being.
