Rina Mauricio

Rina Mauricio (she/her), MD, is a full-time cardiologist in Dallas, TX. She graduated from NYU School of Medicine in 2014 and completed her cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Southwestern.

Her research and clinical focus are women's cardiovascular health, and she is leading the women's cardiovascular health program at the University of Texas Southwestern. She is an advocate for women’s health, particularly women’s cardiovascular health, and seeks to empower her patients and increase awareness of women’s cardiovascular disease.

The most fulfilling part of my career is taking care of patients. In particular when it comes to women's cardiovascular disease, where a lot of patients feel like their symptoms are dismissed by providers, I take great pride when my patients feel like they are finally heard when they come to see me for their care.
