Who We Are

Raquel Pereira

Chair, Global Projects Committee
Raquel Pereira

Raquel Pereira is a Brazilian nonprofit leader with a background in financial and administrative management and cross-cultural collaboration.

From 2016 to 2021, she managed the financial and administrative areas of Coletivo Feminista Sexualidade e Saúde in São Paulo, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving women’s health and rights, with a strong focus on reproductive justice. She supported the operation of an ambulatory clinic that provides multidisciplinary care, integrating medical and psychological assistance while prioritizing comprehensive reproductive health, including care for unintended pregnancies.

In 2019, she moved to the U.S., deepening her engagement with global feminist health movements. She played a key role in translating and adapting "Our Bodies, Ourselves" into Portuguese, serving as the general coordinator of a three-year project involving over 100 contributors across multiple institutions. The translation, published in 2023, expanded access to vital health information for Portuguese-speaking communities worldwide.

Currently, she is working on mental health projects in São Paulo, Brazil, that provide psychological and psychiatric consultations, ensuring accessible, high-quality care for those in need.

With an MBA from Fundação Getúlio Vargas (FGV) and experience in nonprofit operations, she brings expertise in team leadership, budgeting, grants, fundraising strategy, and complex bureaucratic processes. She is passionate about accessibility and cultural adaptation.

Raquel is honored to contribute to impactful initiatives through collaboration and strategic execution alongside so many brilliant women.
