Nyk Rayne

Nyk manages the Our Bodies Ourselves website. She is also the executive director of the nonprofit organization UN|HUSHED, which creates, facilitates, and trains on sexual education curricula for people of all ages, academic levels, and professional backgrounds.
 
Nyk holds a degree in media arts & animation and her portfolio includes clients such as Coca-Cola, Disney, Planned Parenthood, the American Physiological Association, the Center for Sexuality Education, Grantland, and Harper Collins Publishing.
 
As a business professional Nyk took on her first managerial role at 17. At 21, Nyk was the youngest person to receive the “Rookie Store Manager of the Year” award while running multiple BlockBuster Video stores in Austin, Texas. By the age of 27, she started and sold off a profitable landscaping firm. Her resume in the corporate world also includes time with Guitar Center, Bank of America, 7-Eleven, and Regal Cinemas. At 34, Nyk combined her many talents to co-found UN|HUSHED, which has produced a full K-12 curriculum, published five handbooks, a children’s book, and six educational games in less than a decade.

Nyk interweaves many roles from the last 26 years, ranging from cashier to c-suite executive, artist to project manager, illustrator to 3D animator, and full-stack web developer, and is excited to bring that experience to Our Bodies Ourselves.
