Jocelyn Anderson
Jocelyn C. Anderson (she/her), PhD, RN SANE-A, is an associate professor at University of Arkansas for medical sciences. She is an internationally certified sexual assault nurse examiner providing medical forensic care for people who have experienced physical or sexual violence.
Dr. Anderson’s research focuses on the physical and mental health outcomes of violence, and interventions to prevent and respond to violence. She is particularly interested in using technology-based interventions to improve health and justice outcomes at the intersections of violence, substance use, and mental health issues.
I was thrilled to be invited to work with OBOS Today. I remember finding a 1970s version on the bookshelf of one of my graduate school mentors and falling in love with the work. To be able to contribute to an organization that brings so much to women is an absolute honor. There is no academic grant or paper that I will write during my career that will have the same impact this work has.
