Jaclyn A. Siegel
Jaclyn Siegel is a social psychologist and research fellow at the Kinsey Institute. Her research focuses on the intersections between body image, gender, and sexuality.
She has published extensively on eating disorder prevention, treatment, and recovery across contexts. Her other work focuses on improving the quality of women's sexual lives: reducing sexual violence and improving sexual experiences.
Jaclyn is a popular science communicator, amassing tens of thousands of followers across X and Bluesky. She is also the host of the "Psychology of Women Quarterly" podcast, where she interviews authors of recently-published academic papers. She is working on a book about body image in sex and relationships.
I am working with OBOS to disseminate information about body image, eating disorders, and weight stigma. In my work, I focus on the ways in which body image infiltrates all areas of life -- from interpersonal relationships to job satisfaction -- and how to heal our relationships with our bodies.
