Inga T. Winkler
Content Expert, Menstrual Cycle
Inga T. Winkler (she/her), PhD, is an associate professor in human rights at Wageningen University in The Netherlands. She is particularly interested in the intersections of menstruation, human rights, and culture, and focuses on questions of stigmatization, marginalization, and representation.
Another strand of her research builds on her policy experience and engages directly with policy-makers on menstrual health. Inga is the co-editor of the field-defining “Handbook on Critical Menstruation Studies” and serves as co-chair of a standing seminar on Menstruation & Society at Columbia University.
Comprehensive, inclusive and accessible information provides the basis for destigmatizing menstruation. And since menstrual stigma is so persistent and insidious, I'm grateful for the opportunity to contribute to tackling it!
