Christina Barmon
Christina Barmon (she/her) is an associate professor of sociology and gerontology and the coordinator of the women, gender, and sexuality studies program at Central Connecticut State University.
She is an interdisciplinary scholar across feminist gerontology, medical sociology, aging and the life course, and sex and gender studies.
Her research focuses on aging, relationships, and care work. This focus includes long-term care residents’ sexual and intimate relationships, the sexual harassment of care workers, and residents’ self-care.
I remember buying "Our Bodies, Ourselves" when I was fourteen. It had ALL the answers and I had a lot of questions. Little did I know that it was just the beginning of my feminist education and I would be working with Our Bodies Ourselves at the other end of the life course.
