Betty Morningstar
Betty Morningstar is a career social worker. She has maintained a private psychotherapy practice for over forty years and she previously served as a pastoral counselor in long-term care.
Betty is a past president of the Massachusetts chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-MA), where she provided written and oral testimony to the state legislature on issues encompassing social justice, social work professional policies, anti-discrimination, and health care reform.
She currently sits on several advisory boards, including Brandeis University's Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Department; Keshet (a national Jewish LGBTQ+ advocacy and education organization); Disability Services at Jewish Family & Children's Service; and Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Justice (JALSA).
