Arielle Dance (she/her), PhD, lives in New Jersey with her wife and chihuahua-terrier. Dr. Dance is a writer on topics of disabilities, grief, and self-advocacy. Dr. Dance is published across multiple platforms and has an award winning children’s book, "Dearest One," that focuses on words of wisdom from a grandmother.

Most recently, Dr. Dance was a winner of the Black Voices in Children's Literature writing contest. She has worked at the American Cancer Society since 2012 and is the writer at Diversability where she works to amplify disabled experiences.

As someone with invisible disabilities due to endometriosis, Dr. Dance has committed to being a member of the OBOS Today menstruation through menopause panel to amplify the experiences of people with pelvic pain and infertility.
