Alison Leventhal Joucovsky, MA, LPC, received her BA from The Ohio State University in human development with a specialization in aging, and an MA degree in counseling psychology, with an emphasis on geriatric care, from the University of Northern Colorado.

As a community organizer/program coordinator for the Jewish Family Service of Colorado, she started aging in place neighborhood programs. In 2015, in response to the affordable housing crisis facing Colorado, Alison founded Sunshine Home Share Colorado, the first nonprofit home-sharing program in the state, where she’s currently the executive director.

 Alison is on the board of directors of the National Shared Housing Resource Center and partners with the Anschutz School of Aging and Policy and Veterans Administration to complete a nationwide research project on shared housing programs.
