Perceptions of Endometriosis

This study examines how endometriosis in young people is perceived among different groups, including families, peers, and social communities.

Stigma and lack of support collectively contribute to the toll endometriosis has on quality of life and social, emotional and economic well-being. Time to diagnosis ranges from 2 to 12 years, and can be three times longer for women whose onset of symptoms occurred during adolescence.
