Want to help make abortion accessible and legal for all? Find organizations and groups that are fighting for abortion access, abortion rights, and reproductive justice.

Access Reproductive Justice

Access Reproductive Justice is a nonprofit in California committed to advancing reproductive justice & healthcare access for all. They provide direct services, community outreach, and policy advocacy work.

Jane’s Due Process

Jane’s Due Process helps young people in Texas navigate parental consent and abortion laws and confidentially access abortion and birth control. They provide free legal support, 1-on-1 case management, and stigma-free information on sexual and reproductive health. Volunteers staff the phone and text hotline and assist with other tasks as needed, such as administrative tasks and fundraising. If you are a lawyer, you can take a free online CLE course to learn about representing pregnant minors in judicial bypass hearings.

Planned Parenthood

Planned Parenthood provides medically accurate information about sexual and reproductive health and resources for worldwide audiences. With locations across the United States, you can contact your local chapter for more specific volunteering opportunities such as being a clinic escort, hosting parent educators, helping with outreach, and more.

Reproductive Freedom For All

Reproductive Freedom for All organizes and mobilizes 4 million members to fight for access to abortion, birth control, paid parental leave, and protections from pregnancy discrimination. Since 1969, their campaigns have created political and cultural change at every level, from the statehouse to the White House. They work at both the state and national level to pass proactive policies for reproductive freedom and hold anti-abortion extremists accountable.

Trust Women

Trust Women strives to open clinics that provide abortion care in underserved communities. They currently have clinics in Wichita, Kansas (established by the late Dr. George Tiller) and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. People who live in Kansas and/or Oklahoma can volunteer with data entry and other administrative tasks, assist at the clinics as patient liaisons, serve as ambassadors that distribute information at local community events, and participate in canvassing campaigns. Those who live outside Kansas and Oklahoma can volunteer remotely through phone banking.

URGE: Unite for Reproductive Gender Equity

URGE is an advocacy and activism organization led by young people. They advocate for sexual health and reproductive rights and policies on local, state, and national levels. They have chapters in universities in California, Georgia, Kansas, and Ohio.

Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRAPP)

Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRRAP) assists girls, women, and gender expansive people who are financially unable to pay for safe, legal abortions or emergency contraception by providing funds to pre-screened, pre-qualified health clinics and doctors. Volunteers staff the hotline (which requires a time commitment), perform routine administrative tasks, assist with events and fundraising campaigns, craft written communication, manage phone calls, and educate people on the use of social media and other platforms.

Women Help Women

Women Help Women is an international activist nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding access to self-managed abortion through feminist activism and empowerment. The organization provides discreetly shipped abortion and contraceptive pills, medically accurate resources, regional hotlines, and training and support for other feminist activist groups.
