Contraception: Get Involved

People at a protest for birth control. Centered is a Black woman shouting and holding a lime green sign that reads: "I love (heart) my birth control." To her left is an Asian woman in a black tank top shouting and holding a sign that reads: "Access to Birth Control NotMYBossBusiness." To the right of the Black woman is a white woman in a pink Planned Parenthood t-shirt who is also shouting. She has a sign in one hand and a rainbow/LGBTQ+ flag in the other.

These organizations and groups are working to make sure that birth control information and contraceptive methods are legal, safe, and accessible.

Free the Pill Coalition

The Free the Pill coalition is a group of more than 200 reproductive health, rights, and justice organizations, research and advocacy groups, youth activists, health care providers, prominent medical and health professional associations, and others who share a commitment to ensuring more equitable access to safe, effective, and affordable birth control to people of all ages, backgrounds, and identities in the United States. Coalition members support over-the-counter (OTC) birth control pills that are affordable, fully covered by insurance, and available to people of all ages. To express their commitment, coalition members sign on to our statement of purpose.

Reproductive Freedom For All

Reproductive Freedom for All (formerly NARAL Pro-Choice America) organizes and mobilizes 4 million members to fight for access to abortion, birth control, paid parental leave, and protections from pregnancy discrimination. Since 1969, their campaigns have created political and cultural change at every level, from the statehouse to the White House. They work at both the state and national level to pass proactive policies for reproductive freedom and hold anti-abortion extremists accountable.
