Abortions Welcome: Spiritual Resources for Abortion

Abortions Welcome is a faith-forward, fact-forward, pro-abortion website that provides resources. It is curated jointly by two multidenominational faith organizations: the Religious Community for Reproductive Choice (RCRC) and Faith in Women. 
 
Abortions Welcome is organized for every stage in the abortion process: preparing for abortion, during abortion, and after abortion. Offering support and links to trusted websites, it includes articles, medical hotlines, meditations, rituals, stories, playlists, and spiritually and religious resources. Contents include: “Blessings for a doctor’s appointment and visit,” “An Abortion Valentine,” “How to use Tarot Cards for Self-Care,” and “Muslim writer shares her abortion story.”

As more and more people use abortion pills, we know that there will be times when people may not have the in-person support they deserve before, during, or after their abortions. That’s why we created this site, first and foremost – to accompany people on their abortion journey, no matter where they are in the process. We also know that many people who have abortions are people of faith, and it can be hard to find affirming and compassionate spiritual resources online in a sea of religious anti-abortion extremism. Our intention and hope is for this site to be a resting place, a sacred space of comfort and care for people on their abortion journeys.
