Terms of Use: Interviews

You are submitting your story, information, data, text, software, music, sound, photographs, graphics, video, messages, or other materials for display or use or distribution to others at the discretion of Our Bodies Ourselves Today (OBOS Today).

If you are under 18 years of age, you must first (a) review these Terms with your parent or legal guardian to make sure that you and your parent or guardian understand them, and (b) have your parent or legal guardian’s permission to submit to Our Bodies Ourselves Today.

We do not claim ownership of your submissions—as between you and OBOS Today, you own all rights to your submitted materials. However, you grant to OBOS Today an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, sublicensable, assignable, transferrable, and royalty-free license throughout the universe to use, distribute, syndicate, license, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, publicly perform, create derivative works, and publicly display your submission (in whole or in part) in any format or medium now known or later developed, for any lawful purposes, including, but not limited to archival, teaching, research, public service, publicity, and institutional promotional campaigns. We own all rights, title, and interests in any compilation, collective work, and other derivative work created by us using or incorporating your submission.

We will not investigate, verify, examine, or authenticate your submission, and you agree that you are solely responsible for the content of your submission. We are not required to use, display or distribute your submission. You represent and warrant that your submission and our authorized use of such submissions do not and will not infringe the rights of any third party including, without limitation, intellectual property rights, rights of privacy or publicity, or any other personal, legal, or moral rights. You affirm that you possess all rights necessary to grant Our Bodies Ourselves Today the permissions detailed in this Terms of Use.
OBOS Today uses general best practices to protect the confidentiality, security, and integrity of personal information collected on this website. We use physical, electronic, and administrative safeguards to ensure that personal information is accessible only to authorized employees, agents, and officers of OBOS Today who require such information to perform their jobs.

You acknowledge that OBOS Today may disclose personal information when it is required to do so by law, including but not limited to disclosure to law enforcement or other government officials in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, or other activity that is illegal or may expose a user or OBOS Today to legal liability. In addition, in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar event, OBOS Today’s user information may be transferred to our successor or assignee.

You acknowledge that you are voluntarily making this grant of rights. You further agree to release and forever discharge Our Bodies Ourselves Today (a project of Suffolk University) its agents, employees, and designated representatives from any and all claims in law or equity that you, your heirs, or personal representatives have or shall have arising out of production, distribution, broadcast, or exhibition of the submission.

These Terms of Use are governed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
