Elias Fox Bova Schmidt
Elias Fox Bova Schmidt (he/him/his), JD, MSW is an anti-colonialist, anti-fascist, and advocate for trans liberation, reproductive justice, racial justice, and Indigenous sovereignty. He is a proud gay non-binary trans man and descendant of the Seneca Nation of Indians with family roots along the Ohi:yo’. Elias is currently an If/When/How RJ Fellow at SPARK Reproductive Justice NOW, where he does policy work regarding reproductive justice issues that centers Black women, women of color, and queer & trans young people of color. During law school, Elias was an Initiative for a Representative First Amendment Fellow at the Harvard Cyberlaw Clinic, where he worked on tech law issues relating to accessibility in video games, SESTA/FOSTA, and safety for trans people online. Elias also has experience as a student attorney with issues related to fair housing, employment discrimination, government transparency, police accountability, and providing legal name changes for trans people in Western New York.
