Anne Pollock is a Professor of Global Health and Social Medicine at King’s College London. Growing up in the rural U.S. Midwest in the 1980s, Our Bodies, Ourselves was a foundational text that set her on her life path of combining intersectional feminist activism with academic study of the body and health. She has recently completed her third book, which is titled Sickening: Anti-Black Racism and Health Disparities in the United States.
