Sterilization procedures are permanent surgical methods of birth control. Sterilization procedures for women are called tubal sterilization, tubal ligation, or female sterilization. The procedure for men is called vasectomy. While both are extremely effective, vasectomy is much less invasive and has a quicker recovery time than tubal sterilization.
