Sexual assault occurs when one or more people impose sexual words, contact, or behavior on another without the victim’s explicit consent. Common forms of sexual assault are attempted rape; molestation; unwanted sexual touching; forcing a victim to perform sexual acts; and penetration of the victim’s body (also known as rape).
