[Health & Sexuality Info](/health-info)# queer

People who consider themselves queer are likely to be non-heterosexual and/or non-cisgender. LGBTQIA+ people may identify with the word queer especially if they see themselves as outsiders or radicals in the “straight” world of sex and gender. *Queer* can also suggest being outside of the norm—as in kinky or poly, or that sexuality and gender doesn’t fit neatly into either/or identities, like male or female, gay or straight.
