[Latine](https://elcentro.colostate.edu/about/why-latinx) is a gender-neutral alternative to Latina or Latino. It is a term used to describe a diverse group of people who have roots in Latin America. Latiné, latinx, and Latin@ are also gender-neutral forms of the words Latino and Latina. These terms were created by queer, gender non-binary, and feminist communities in Spanish-speaking communities.
