OBOS Today: That’s really incredible and talking about your faith and your strength is really amazing. How’s your quality of life today? How is this process led you here?

TC: I’ve learned to live with the disease that I have. You know, I’m not going to say it’s great because it’s not great, but I’m not going to say it’s bad either, you know.

I’ve just learned to adjust, and adapt. My husband has this saying, he’s a retired marine: adjust, adapt, and overcome. And that’s what I do. I adjust, adapt, and overcome that obstacle for that day. I’ve just learned to fix my days to where it fits the circumstances as the way my body’s reacting.

OBOS Today: That’s really wonderful to hear. It’s not always–the success story is not always that I went through this and it was hard and now I’m perfect. It’s about living with disease and having a perspective that’s positive. It’s really amazing to hear.
