Anne Pollock is a professor of global health and social medicine at King's College London.

Ever since her childhood in northern Michigan, feminist books have been a lifeline for her.

She was educated at Brandeis and MIT, where she was involved in antiwar and lesbian activism. Prior to moving to London in 2018, she lived in Atlanta for a decade, where she taught at Georgia Tech and served on the board of the feminist bookstore Charis Books & More.

In her role as a professor, her research and teaching focus on the social studies of health and medicine. Two relevant lines of inquiry in her academic work investigate feminist theory and biomedicine, and the impact of racism on health, with particular interest in cardiovascular disease – hence her involvement with the Heart Health panel of Our Bodies Ourselves.
