Our Bodies Ourselves, also known as the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective, is one of the best documented feminist organizations in American history. The historical materials available on this website are only part of the existing records of Our Bodies Ourselves.

Researchers can consult the extensive [Boston Women’s Health Book Collective](https://guides.library.harvard.edu/c.php?g=310923&p=2073133) papers donated to the Arthur and Elizabeth Schlesinger Library at Harvard University. These records include oral histories, drafts of books, research files, meeting agendas and minutes, administrative records, correspondence, audio recordings, photographs, and printed materials, spanning several archival collections.

In addition, there are numerous materials related to Our Bodies Ourselves in the [Sophia Smith Collection of Women’s History at Smith College](https://libraries.smith.edu/special-collections/sophia-smith-collection-womens-history). There are relevant sources within the records of [the Black Women’s Health Imperative](https://findingaids.smith.edu/repositories/2/resources/966), [the National Women’s Health Network,](https://findingaids.smith.edu/repositories/2/resources/765) and other organizations that have collaborated with Our Bodies Ourselves, as well as in the papers of individuals such as [Marlene Fried](https://findingaids.smith.edu/repositories/2/resources/1162) and [Loraine Hutchins](https://findingaids.smith.edu/repositories/2/archival_objects/334837) in the [Sophia Smith topical collection on women’s health](https://findingaids.smith.edu/repositories/2/resources/1036). The Francis A. Countway Library of Medicine, at Harvard Medical School, has [files of subject material gathered by the Boston Women’s Health Book Collective between 1980 and 2000](https://hollisarchives.lib.harvard.edu/catalog/med00085).
