National Maternal Mental Health Hotline

There is still so much stigma and shame surrounding maternal mental health, which can make it difficult for new moms and diverse birthing people to be honest about their experiences. Pregnancy and a new baby typically bring a range of emotions. Many of us feel overwhelmed, sad, anxious, or exhausted at different times during our pregnancy or after the baby is born. This free, confidential 24/7 hotline is available via phone or text and enables people to get the support they need, when they need it. It serves birthing people before, during, and after pregnancy and is staffed by professional counselors. The hotline is available in both English and Spanish, and translation is provided in sixty languages: 1-833-943-5746 (1-833-9-HELP4MOMS). The website provides details and answers common questions.
