The current project is a first step in that direction." -Fatemeh Keshavarz, Director, Roshan Institute for Persian Studies ## Global Partners [Roshan Institute for Persian Studies](http://sllc.umd.edu/persian) ## Our Bodies, Ourselves Project University of Maryland's [Roshan Institute for Persian Studies](http://sllc.umd.edu/persian) and the [Department of Women’s Studies](http://wmst.umd.edu/) are creating an interactive, digital project based on the 2011 edition of "Our Bodies, Ourselves" for Farsi speaking women and girls in Iran and around the world. The group is translating and adapting sections of the English edition, with commentary and articles written by healthcare professionals inside Iran. The group aims to provide a forum for health care givers and health care receivers inside Iran to start a conversation about pressing issues concerning women’s health in Iran. The Institute has finished translating the first topic, “Body Image,” which is now [available online](https://assets.ourbodiesourselves.org/documents/Farsi-Body-Image-chapter-1.pdf).
