Last week, we noted that [a Colorado ballot initiative](/2007/11/colorado-moves-toward-defining-fertilized-egg/) is in the works that would define a fertilized egg as a person with full Constitutional rights. As it turns out, Montana has a similar effort in the works, as do Georgia, Oregon, Michigan and South Carolina. We also noted a House bill to [restore contraception pricing](/2007/11/bill-introduced-to-restore-campus-contracepti/) on college campuses. A companion bill, [S.2347](http://www.thomas.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d110:s.2347:), has been introduced in the Senate by Barack Obama.
