We're looking forward to checking out the new book from the [Black Women's Health Imperative](http://www.blackwomenshealth.org/), [Health First! The Black Woman's Wellness Guide](http://www.blackwomenshealth.org/healthfirst/about-the-book/), which [one reviewer](http://www.insidebayarea.com/opinion/ci_19837692) called a great gift "for an African-American woman for Valentine's Day, a birthday, or for no other reason than 'because.'"  
  
  
  
According to the [website](http://www.blackwomenshealth.org/healthfirst/about-the-book/):  
  
> Health First explores Black women’s most critical health challenges, connecting the dots through honest discussions with experts and the uncensored stories of real women—from adolescence through adulthood. The focus is on prevention and awareness, across generations and circumstances—from candid conversations about reproductive health and HIV/AIDS to frank explorations of Black women’s Top 10 Health Risks, including heart disease, cancer, obesity, and violence.
