It's been one week since [Planned Parenthood opened](http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/local/chi-auroraclinic03oct03,0,3984092.story) its new [health clinic](http://auroraplannedparenthood.org/) in Aurora, Ill. While opponents lost [their battle](/2007/09/the-new-epicenter-of-the-abortion-fight/) to prevent the clinic from opening, it doesn't mean they've let up their daily protests. Efforts are currently focused on getting protesters to stop using a vacant lot next to the clinic as their base from which to harass patients and staff. Planned Parenthood is [calling on Safeway/Dominick's](http://auroraplannedparenthood.org/take_action.html), the owner of the lot, to let the city of Aurora know that people who intimidate patients are not welcome to gather there. It's worth again pointing to the [full array of health services](http://auroraplannedparenthood.org/our_services.html) Planned Parenthood provides. Less than 10 percent of the services performed at Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area clinics are abortion-related. On the morning the Aurora clinic opened, Planned Parenthood/Chicago Area President and CEO Steve Trombley said, "We know that the services we provide will do more in one day to prevent abortions than our opposition will do in a lifetime of protesting."
