Two women tell the stories of their illegal abortions. More than 800,000 women every year sought out often unsafe abortions before the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision. The film, co-produced by Our Bodies Ourselves co-founder Jane Pincus, shows women explaining the necessity of, and demonstrating for, access to safe, affordable abortions and birth control, an end to forced sterilizations, and decent health care for all. Fifty years later, the updated film reminds us of the conditions driving the movement for abortion rights. And it inspires us to fight for reproductive justice today.
